“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Philippians 4:13(NKJV)
In the cause of my living through these years I have witness people who arrogate to themselves the power of their achievements. They take glory for their successes. They enjoy praises from men. They raise their shoulders like the peacock. They allow the pride of their success to consume them. In their foolishness they forgot that they cannot guarantee the air they will breathe the next moment. They forget that their been alive the next hour is not within their power. Can a dead man achieve anything among the living? They allow their achievement to overwhelm them and consequently put God aside in their celebration of success.
As Christian that must not be our way of life. Our ability to work and excel is in Christ. It is no wonder that Paul achieved tremendous result in his Christian pursuit, his secret lies in the above quote “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Please note that Paul said all things. “Jesus said to him if you believe, all things are possible to him who believes””. We can infer from this scriptures that Paul believed and so he can do all things through Christ. The power to achieve resides in our believe in God and His word. By the death of Christ and resurrection God consummated our adoption of sonship. By so doing He transferred to us the power of divinity (See John1:12) by Christ Jesus. We are therefore equip to do the humanly impossible because of the Spirit of God that dwells in us. This was the subject of Paul’s assertion in our referenced scriptures. Our ability to achieve mind blowing and humanly impossible results resides in our believe in God and what we have become in Christ Jesus.
Those unsurmountable problems that has cropped up in your office is waiting for you as a child of God to use it as your ladder to the top. Attend your God given mind to it, exercising your sonship in God it will dissolve. Jesus said in Mark 11:23(KJV) “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, And be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith” The key word here is BELIEVE.
Prayer: Father strengthen my believe in your word.
