Bible Reading: Psalm 89:1 – 52
“I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him” – Psalm 89:20(KJV).
It is never an overstatement when one says that God has been and is still in the business of searching out for men and women and bringing them to Himself. ‘I have found David’. This statement affirms that God has actually sought David. The big question is ‘for what purpose?’ Why would God embark on such a voyage of looking out for the sons of men, His very own creatures?
There are lots of purposes behind God’s searching. In today’s passage, God sought and found David for a covenanted blessings. God’s covenanted blessings with David are too numerous to mention, and they are the sincere desires of every man. God Himself declared to David, my holy anointing oil is on you; I will sustain and strengthen you, I will crush your foes, I will hear your cry, my faithfulness and mercy will never leave you; your seed will endure forever and many more such blessings.
Today, God is still looking out for men and women to extend his covenanted blessings to. If you would like to experience these blessings as David did, you will have to position yourself for divine allocation. God is still searching for men and women who are trustworthy, committed, faithful, and dedicated stewards who He can entrust His kingdom blessings to. Are you one of them? Can God find you as a reliable servant? Remember: whoever God locates, He blesses.
May the searchlight of God locate you and may you experience the blessings of God as David did!
Prayer: Lord, locate me with your search-light for your covenant blessings in Jesus name
