Bible Reading: Psalm 72 & 73; Romans 91-16
“Blessed be the LORD GOD, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things” Psalm 72:18 (KJV)
Creations reveals wondrous things about God. We are filled with awe and amazement at all of His creations; from the planets to the Sun, the moon, the stars, rivers, oceans and many others. It causes us to wonder at who and how these things come to be. His acts in the life of His people shows He desires to make them a wonder among men. From the time of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, to David and many others after or in between these men, God has done wondrous things as recorded in the bible. The coming of His Son, Jesus Christ, still amazes many in the world.
Jesus was sent as a wonder to the world. Isaiah 9:6 called Him a wonderful counsellor. He did so many wonderful things while He was on earth. He raised the dead, cured the sick, restored sight to the blind, brought a lot of people out from darkness into light and He is still all doing that today. He committed this ministry to His disciples who also did same.
You have been called to a life of wonder. Your life should be an amazement to the world. Jesus was just a carpenter’s son until age 30 when the purpose of God for Him began. Some of His disciples were ordinary fishermen and unlearned when He met and called them into purpose. They eventually changed their cities with wondrous things.
Jesus said in John 17:18 (KJV), “As thou has sent me into the world, even so have I sent them into the world.” You have been sent as a sign and a wonder after the order of Christ, like His Father sent Him. Your age is no barrier; Moses was 80 years old when God called him. He did so many wonderful things that are still being talked about today.
Where you are at the moment does not really matter if you have God in your heart. He has called you to be a blessing to humanity with wonders loaded inside you. You will be a wonder in that field of yours, that career, and in that ministry. Give God glory for the purpose he created and called you for.
Prayer: Father, I thank You for the wondrous things You have done in my life. Thank You for the grace to live the life You created me for, in Jesus name.
