TOPIC: APPLY THE WORD
Bible Reading: Job 13-15; Acts 8:26-40
“My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding” – Proverbs 2:1-2 (KJV)
In Christ Jesus, you have the freedom to move from where you currently are to where God wants you to be by choosing to walk in wisdom which is applying the knowledge received from God’s Word. If you set your heart to apply the Word of God, Proverbs 2:5-6 (KJV) says, “Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.”
There is no place a believer finds himself / herself that is the end of the world. What you need to do is search out what God has said about that situation and begin to apply yourself to it. If you think you are stuck in a place and you cannot move, start by rejoicing because there is a way out in the Word of God. Psalms 118:11 (NKJV) says, “They surrounded me, yes, they surrounded me; but in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.” It doesn’t matter how overwhelming the situation might look; the wisdom of God always brings us out!
James 1:5 (NKJV) says, “If any of you LACKS WISDOM, let him ASK OF GOD, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” God is liberal with wisdom but the catch according to James 1:6 (NKJV) is, “… let him ASK IN FAITH, with no doubting…” The way to ‘ask in faith’ is to take your Bible after you have prayed to God in faith, and in faith trust the Holy Spirit to lead you to the right Scriptures that you can apply and get results in the situation. When you apply the Word, you always win because the Word is the Wisdom of God.
Prayer: Thank You Father for Your Word in my life to continually live by.
