TOPIC: BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING
Bible Reading: Isaiah 39-40, Philippians 4
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;” – Philippians 4:6 (KJV)
Christianity begins at the finished line. We don’t approach life as UNTO victory but FROM victory because everything that concerns our lives and existence has been accomplished for us right from the foundations of the world as stated in Hebrews 4:3 “… although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.”
God doesn’t live in time and space like the natural man does. He is not bound by time. With God, yesterday, today and tomorrow are all before Him at the same time but in the physical world that we live in, things happen in a ‘serial’ manner i.e. one event precedes the other. This is why we have yesterday, today and tomorrow. With God however, it is different.
It is just like a movie which first exists in someone’s mind as a complete or ‘finished’ story after which it goes through the production process. When the movie is released and you’re watching it in a theatre with the producer, director and actors all present; the truth is, you all will be watching the same movie from different perspectives.
While the production crew know the end from the beginning; you will be anticipating the end. While you’re watching the movie in real time, they will be watching with superior intelligence. Nothing will keep the producer in suspense because he/she finished the movie before it started. Rather than worry, you can enjoy the ride by asking the production crew what is going to happen. The goodnews is that in the script of your life according to God’s Word, you are the ‘character’ that always wins. This is why you must approach life from the finish line.
God is the producer of the movie of your life. He spoke through Isaiah and said, “Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, DECLARING THE END FROM THE BEGINNING, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure” Isaiah 46:9-10 (KJV).
There is nothing that concerns your life that surprises God. This is why there ought to be no worry in your life because the Holy Spirit has everything figured out. Simply put your faith in Him and trust Him. The life of faith is about seeing things from God’s perspective because there is nothing that God starts in your life that He hasn’t first finished.
Declare: I refuse to be anxious and give in to worry because the One who holds my future lives within me.
