TOPIC: YOU ARE NOT ORDINARY
Bible Reading: Genesis 1-2; Matthew 1
Memory verse: “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” Genesis 1:27(KJV).
The bible account in Genesis points to the unlimitedness in man. Unlimited means “no limit.” The conversation that took place in heaven before man was created is captured in Genesis1:26 (KJV), “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.“ Since man was created in the image and likeness of God, then man is an extension of God here on earth.
God, in creating man, concealed eternity in human as stated in Genesis 2:7 (KJV), “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” He took the unlimited and concealed it in the limited made of dust. Man, had for years leaned so much on the limited part of himself. Until he learns to dig deep into himself only then can he unlock the capacity or possibilities innate in him.
You are a custodian of unlimited possibilities even though you look limited all around you. Note that this limitation is a state of the mind. But holding fast to your God-nature makes you a custodian of divine possibilities. By His breath into you God downloaded divine capacity into you.
The Bible tells us how Adam immediately started putting his divine ability to work in Genesis 2:20a (KJV), “And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field;” He was not taught about these animals, rather the divine capacity in him in him came forth in this activity.
You are not ordinary! You can do all things if only you will let God manifest through you because with God nothing shall be impossible (Luke 1:37). As this year begins, remember again that you are not ordinary. Go closer to God this year 2026 like Adam was at the beginning and see God manifest in every area of your life.
Prayer: Father thank You for the divine capacity inside me. As I come closer to You, help me to unlock this hidden side of me to Your glory in Jesus name.
