TOPIC: START WITH THANKSGIVING
Bible Reading: Exodus 27-28; Matthew 21:23-46
“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” – 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV)
Apostle Paul did not asked believers to thank God ‘for’ everything, but to give thanks ‘in’ everything because thanksgiving is not conditioned on whether everything has gone as we wanted or not. We thank God because this is His will for us and when we do His will, everything works out well for us.
Right in the desert where Jesus had to feed over five thousand people, all he had physically available was a little boy’s lunch of five loaves and two fish, but He didn’t feel frustrated and disadvantaged. Jesus knew what to do which is thanksgiving. John 6:6 says, “But this He said to test him, for HE HIMSELF KNEW WHAT HE WOULD DO.”
You can also do what Jesus did and you will have more than enough because it all begins with thanksgiving instead of looking for what you don’t have or what He has not done. The bible says that Jesus took the loaves and the fish and looked up to heaven and the way you look up to heaven is in the place of prayer and with your eyes on God, the anointing will come upon it.
Psalm 1:3 says concerning the blessed man, “… And whatever he does shall prosper.” You are that blessed anointed man and woman. It is more about who you are than what you do.
While giving thanks, speak and declare what you desire and boldly start out in faith and you will see the power unleashed! Once you give God thanks, just stand aside and watch God do a miracle in your life.
Commit your life and experiences to God and lift your hands up in thanksgiving because He is always faithful to His Word.
Prayer: Thank You Father for the gift of life and for bringing us into another month and season.
