TOPIC: GOD’S PREPARED PLACES
Bible Reading: Exodus 29-30; Matthew 22:1-22
“Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.” – Exodus 23:20 (KJV)
In the believer’s walk of faith, all that is required to do the impossible is to trust and obey! The reason it is sometimes difficult for some to act upon God’s Word in obedience is because they don’t know God and how He operates.
It is not in the character of God to instruct you to do anything that He hasn’t first gone ahead and finished. The Bible says in Isaiah 46:9-10, “Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, DECLARING THE END FROM THE BEGINNING, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure,” God only begins what He has ended.
In our text, He told the children of Israel that He was bringing them into a place that He had prepared – not a place He was going to prepare. This means that the destination is certain and He has every detail factored in.
As the children of Israel came to the Red Sea on the way to their prepared place, they cried unto God because they didn’t know that the God who led them through that route is a God that has seen the end from the beginning. When Moses cried out to God, the Bible says in Exodus 14:15, “And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel TO GO FORWARD.” Considering the situation on ground, the way forward was to go into the Red Sea and that sounds like God was sending them to an early grave. But God had already formed a highway through the sea. Though they couldn’t see it, it was there because He is a God that sees the end from the beginning.
Never be afraid of taking those bold steps of faith as you launch out on the things that God has told you because if He didn’t finish them, He wouldn’t have told you to start. This understanding should stir faith in you to trust and obey Him when He tells you to do anything because there are places He has prepared for you in Jesus’ Name.
Prayer: Father engrace me to trust and obey your guidance because I know that You have prepared places for me.
