TOPIC: FROM INSIDE OUT
Bible Reading: Leviticus 1-3; Matthew 24:23-51.
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” – Romans 12:2 (KJV)
Christianity is about manifesting to a physical world the glory and beauty of an inward life. The life of God that we received at the new birth is inside our spirit and this life is meant to shine as light to the world. Apostle Paul calls it the ‘mystery of godliness’ when he wrote in 1 Timothy 3:16 (KJV) saying, “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up in glory.” The mystery is that God can be manifested in the flesh i.e. physical world of space and matter through men.
As a child of God, you ought to be more ‘God inside minded’ than you are of the physical, this way you release the glory of God in you to the world. In Matthew 17:1-8, we see Jesus doing this on the mount of transfiguration when He got away in order to get ahead. Matthew 17:2 (KJV) says, “…and He was TRANSFIGURED before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.”
The process through which we are changed from the inside-out is what is known as transformation. When Jesus was transfigured on that mountain, the light that He emanated that brightened everything around Him shone from within Him, and not from heaven. You have this very same light and it can radiate in intensity to affect your everyday life too.
When Jesus said to let your light shine before men in His teaching in Matthew 5:16, He meant that what redemption deposited in your spirit man should be brought forth to change the world around you. This is only possible as you renew your mind with the Word of God. This is the reason the hearing of God’s Word until it forms a new consciousness in you is very vital in living a glorious and victorious life as a child of God.
Give attention to God’s Word until something changes in you, then something will change around you.
Prayer: Thank You Father for the joy of Your eternal life in my spirit man.
