TOPIC: THE UNCOMMON FAVOUR
Bible Reading: Leviticus 14; Matthew 26:55-75
“For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted. – Psalms 89:17 (KJV)
Every child of God is blessed because they are in Christ Jesus and a core component of the blessing of God is His favour. The favour of God is what distinguishes us in life and it isn’t something we should pray for; rather we are to walk in the consciousness of it every day as believers.
While the favour of God distinguishes us, it is also God’s compelling power that lifts us in life from one level of glory to another. Those who don’t understand the favour of God will simply term you a ‘lucky’ person. They’ll say, “you’re always lucky.”
Favour raised an ordinary girl that was an immigrant to become a queen in a strange land. Her name is Esther. Though she went through the preparations like the other girls, it was the favour of God that made her case different. Esther 2:17 (KJV) says, _“And the king loved Esther above all the women, and she obtained grace and favour in his sight more than all the virgins; so that he set the royal crown upon her head, and made her queen instead of Vashti.” Beyond preparedness,’ The key to becoming a queen among many virgins is the uncommon favour of God. It is the favour of God that lifted Esther and that same power is lifting you into positions that were previously occupied by others.
The favour of God will break existing protocols to lift you as it did for Esther. The Law of the land says that: “All the king’s servants, and the people of the king’s provinces, do know, that whosoever, whether man or women, shall come unto the king into the inner court, who is not called, there is one law of his to put him to death, except such to whom the king shall hold out the golden sceptre, that he may live..:” Esther 4:11(KJV)
When Esther needed to see the king on behalf of her people, she turned her face to God in prayer and the situation changed. She was the exception. Esther 5:2 (KJV) says, “And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre.” Praise God!
What did not happen to others, happened to Esther. She experienced uncommon favours! God is showing you these same uncommon favours even today in the Name of Jesus. People will do for you what they wouldn’t do for others.
In 2 Samuel 9, the favour of God lifted a lame timid, and scared man by the name, of Mephibosheth to sit and dine with king David all the days of his life. It didn’t matter that he was lame on both feet.
Receive and walk in uncommon favours for lifting in the Name of Jesus. Uncommon favour is taking you to new heights in all that concerns you in the Name of Jesus.
Declare: The uncommon favour of God is lifting me into new levels of glory.
