TOPIC: THE LEAP OF FAITH
Bible Reading: Leviticus 15-17; Matthew 27:1-31
“Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.”- Acts 14:10 (KJV)
As a believer, you must know that you can’t fail or be defeated in life. You cannot fail in your life endeavours, marriage, career, business, ministry, etc. The situations around you are devised moves by the devil to take God’s Word from your heart and put fear in you but you are the victorious one in Christ Jesus. With a rich deposit of God’s Word in your heart, faith comes alive because faith comes by hearing and hearing God’s Word (Romans 10:17).
This faith, however, has to be given motion to see results. In today’s text, we see that the crippled man had faith to be healed but remained in his condition until Paul in a ‘… loud voice’ said, “Stand up straight on your feet!” He dared to believe and take the leap of faith and he walked. The ‘faith’ command was necessary to bring his miracle into manifestation even though scripture says that he had never walked.
When faith is stirred in the heart, you will be instructed to do things you might have never done before but as you take those steps of faith the impossible will be made possible. These instructions of faith are either direct instructions from God’s written Word or instructions that are prompted by the Holy Spirit. The instructions might seem impossible, but this is why you need courage.
That it has never happened before doesn’t mean it cannot happen. Ignore those voices of impossibility that try to give you every reason not to and as you take the leap of faith you will return with a testimony in Jesus name!
Declare: I am victorious in Christ Jesus. With God’s Word in my heart, I take bold steps of faith.
