Topic: FOR I AM WITH THEE
Bible Reading: Psalm 13-16; Acts 18
“For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.” Acts 18:10 (KJV)
The word of God is eternal and abides forever, hence the bible says in Matt. 24:35(KJV) “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my word shall not pass away”. What God says in His word carries the power of manifestation because His word is yea and amen. God’s promises are of eternal value with great potency and has the power of creativity. When the word of God is believed and confessed in faith it produces tremendous result. The word of God is given to us to profit withal. The limitation placed on the word to manifest is our unbelieve. What the word of God says is forever settled in heaven and nothing can stop it from materializing in our life when confessed and believed in. The faith that activate the manifestation of the word of God is properly shown in Romans 10:17(KJV), “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God”.
Our focal scriptures today enunciated the admonition of Christ to Paul the Apostle. It goes beyond a promise to an authoritative declaration to Paul encouraging him to move forward. No iota of that word dropped or failed. In the same vain there are numerous scriptural promises that are exceeding and powerful which when applied can result in transforming us from mere mortals to having divine nature. 1 Peter 1:4a(KJV), “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escape the corruption that is in the world through”. As in our focal scripture God promised in Isaiah 41:10 (KJV), “Fear thou not; for I am with the: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold the with the right hand of my righteousness”.
The word of God when believed and acted upon has the power to transform and renew the mind. God’s word must accomplish the intended result as stated, it depends only on faith for accomplishment. If God says He will uphold you with the right hand of His righteousness, your position of strength is to believe the word by going further to stand on scriptural testimonies of His unfailing promises. His inability to fail and His commitment to His love for us who believe in Him can be your supporting position to strengthen your faith. We can put our complete reliance on His infallibility, all-powerful and all-knowing personality as strength to our faith. We must commit and believe the word of God in our heart and develop confession and declaration with our mouth to tally with Romans 10:10 (KJV), “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”.
Dear reader it takes the Spirit of God to direct our path in His word, it takes the same Spirit to elucidate on the word of God. Until you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, the word of God will be like normal literature. I admonish you to urgently accept Christ into your life to create room for the entrance of the Holy Spirit, the great custodian of the Word of God.
