“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” – Romans 5:8 (KJV).
What will be your position if your son was caught red handed as a robber and he is to be executed in your compound in your hometown in the presence of all your kindred? The word is shame! Shame! Shame! You will almost asked the ground to open up and swallow you. It becomes even worse when you have always stood for the truth and had lived uprightly in your community. The extent of our perceived humiliation under this scenario is a true measure of the love of God. Who can be more righteous than God? That God sent His son to die for sinners is a level of love that is above human comprehension. That the son was obedient to the father and humbled himself unto a very shameful death at the cross shatters the human understanding of love. THIS MUST BE THE TRUE LOVE. It is no wonder then that the bible says “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends”. It is this kind of love the bible says “And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God” – Ephesian 3:19. This love that brought Jesus Christ to this earth to die for the sin of man emanated from the fullness of God. The knowledge of this love will ushers us into been filled with the fullness of God. Hence the bible says “For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.” – Colossians 2:9-10(KJV). To accomplish the plan of redemption it required the blood of a righteous person. None was found among men for we have all sinned and come short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23). For God to accomplish the plan of redemption the sacrifice of a righteous blood was required and seeing that none among men met that requirement God has to send His son Jesus Christ to accomplish the task. This act of God is the grace of God which we refer to as unconditional love of God. God’s love and mercy are too deep for human comprehension. It baffles human understanding but it is our saving grace. My dear reader I sincerely implore you to embrace this unconditional love of God which is been made freely available to you today. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. – John 3:16(KJV). Jesus gave his life for you what have you given him? His love carries the saving grace but how far have you reciprocated it? It is my prayer that you hand over that wretched and miserable live of yours to him to regenerate and reproduce you by his love which passes knowledge. God bless you.
Prayer: Father let the glorious light of your love shine upon and fill me with the fullness of God. In Jesus name.
