“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned”. – 1 Corinthians 2:14(KJV)
Our selected scriptures today revealed that the natural man cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God. So we can say that by deduction that a spiritual man (born again) receives the things of the Spirit of God. God’s kind of life is in the spiritual man. That is why the bible said “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace”. – Romans 8:6(KJV). The natural man is worldly, but the spiritual is heavenly, “And hath raised us up together; and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:” – Ephesians 2:6(KJV). This is our supernatural identity. In Colossians 1:13(KJV) the bible has this to say “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the Kingdom of his dear Son”. If God has raised us up together and made us to sit together in heavenly places in Christ, it is pertinent that we know exactly where in the heavenly places we are positioned with him. This is properly stated in Ephesians 1:20-21(KJV) “Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world but also in that which is to come”. My dear believer in Christ, this is our supernatural root in redemption. We are not only seated in heavenly places in Christ, we are position with him in the place of power. The right of God is the place of power. We have our supernatural root in new birth as we share eternal live with God and carry an identity of divinity. Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust”. – 2 Peter 1:4(KJV). New birth also position us to walk in the supernatural, “Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of host, which dwelleth in mount Zion”. – Isaiah 8:18(KJV).
