“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” 2 Corinthians 4:7 KJV
We are made in the image of God and can therefore do exploits like our maker. God spoke in Gen 1:3; Let there be light and there was light! He also stated in John 14:12 KJV “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” So we should be able to do greater works than our father. However there are number of things that we need to comply with to do greater works. We need to be filled with love for everything and everyone. When we have this love, we would realize that things that often cause us to despair or sorrow would no longer have any strong hold on us. We will then be filled with Joy within and around us. When we radiate with Joy, what will naturally come out of us would be filled with Joy as the bible says in Matt 12:34b : “out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh”.
It is noteworthy that as we radiate in Joy, we will notice that our environment will mostly radiate in Joy and this will further enhance our joy.
The truth is that the human body is capable of so many things depending of how we put it to use. That is why our Apostle Paul stated in Philippians 4:13 that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. The limitation is ourselves. We have so much capacity that it’s almost impossible for us to fully stretch our being but we are often limited by what we see physically. Apostle Paul knows this quite well and that’s what he reiterated in 2 Corinthians 4:7 KJV “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.”
There is so much treasure that God has put in our body to his Glory. It is left for us to ensure we explore the power given to us.
Prayer: Father open my eyes to the treasure you have equipped me with so that I can use it to your glory in Jesus name.
