“He trusted in the Lord God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.” 2 Kings 18:5 KJV
Trusting a man requires that you know the man first. If you have no knowledge of the man, your trust may be misplaced as he may end up doing what you do not expect which may be in his character but you did not know.
For a trust to be properly placed, you need to know the trusted one fairly well. This is what is expected of anyone that trusts in The Lord. You are expected to know The Lord. Knowing the Lord will entail studying the word of God so that you may know his expectations. In addition to knowing him, you are also expected to believe in him and obey his instructions.
When you know and obey him, then you expect him to always come to your aid when the need arises.
Some of the benefits of Trusting or believing in God is that you will have everlasting life. You will have assurance of eternal life. John 5:24. Also every form of darkness around you will be eliminated because God is light. John 12:46. This means everything associated with darkness such as sickness, insecurity will have to contend with God as your ally. This does not mean you will not have challenges but that your trust in The Lord will cause God to subdue those situations and lift you above them. That is what happened to Hezekiah and it’s stated in our scriptural verse of today that “He trusted in the Lord God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.” 2 Kings 18:5 KJV. Every challenging situation of your life shall experience the light of God and shall disappear in Jesus name.
Prayer. : Father, help me to trust in you with all my body, soul and spirit at all times in Jesus name.
