“Receive us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man.” 2 Corinthians 7:2 KJV
Some years ago, a member of our church told me he had been observing me and if I could be a worker in the church with my responsibility as a banker, then he had no reason not to be a worker in the church. That is how he joined to be a worker in the church. This humbled me as I did not know that someone was watching me talk less of using that to decide his next step of action.
The truth is that several people are watching you and your observed behavior will influence the person either positively or otherwise. The question is what is the testimony of people concerning you? Concerning your integrity, service of The Lord, service at your place of work, in your social life, what would people say about you? Will it help to advance the work of God or will it discourage people from serving The Lord.
In our memory verse of today, Apostle Paul was able to say to the Corinthians, “Receive us; we have wronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have defrauded no man.”2 Corinthians 7:2 KJV.
As a child of God, can you make assertion that you have not corrupted anyone, defrauded anyone nor wronged anyone? This is the first way to preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ as people relate more to what we do than what we say. Are you one of those dragging the name of The Lord into mud or one of those shining lights of the gospel? Please check your lifestyle and identify all those things that Jesus cannot do that you are currently engaged in and prayerfully stop them.
Prayer: Father, make me a shining example of your kingdom on earth in Jesus name.
