“Redeeming the time, because the days are evil’’ – Ephesians 5:16(KJV).
One can lose money and recover it. One can lose handset and recover it. But lost time cannot be recovered. This stresses the need to redeem the time by making the most of every opportunity at one’s disposal. Time is very precious in pursuit of one’s destiny. The scripture admonish that we work while it is day for the night cometh when no man can work (John 9:4).
One can invest time, spend time or waste time. The best way to redeem the time is to constructively invest time in productive pursuit. To redeem the time, one must learn to prioritize. Unfruitful activities that place demand on our time should be avoided; people who have no respect for our time should be avoided also. We should not be under pressure to give attention to anything that will not contribute meaningfully to our destiny. We should learn to say no to some activities and to some demands of our time so we can give enough time to fruitful and rewarding ventures. Note; “All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient; all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any” “1 Corinthians 6:12 (KJV). One must ensure that every second counts in the pursuit of life’s purpose. Unnecessary waste of time chasing shadows should be avoided so that more time can be invested in productive ventures.
Most people complain of not having enough time for their pursuit because they lack discipline for time management. Some others complain that they don’t know what to do with their time because they lack vision that place a demand on their time. People who have vision strong enough to pursue and who are passionate about their vision always place value on their time.
PRAYER: Dear lord, help me to redeem the time.
