“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and forgive their sin, and heal their land” 2 Chronicles 7:14(KJV)
The bible says in James 5:16(KJV) “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much”
The bible says that the effectual prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous powers available. When we come to pray to the Most Holy and Righteous God our scriptural reference for today outline the conditions or requirement for our prayers to receive answer. Let us look at the conditions stated:-
- Must have the identity of God’s people called by His name. These are the redeemed of the Lord, sanctified by His blood, saved by grace. “And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God” – Romans 9:26
- Shall humble themselves and pray. Staying at the altar of fasting and prayer. “Be careful of nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God” Phil. 4:6(KJV)
- Seek His face. Embark on the study and meditation of the word. “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shall meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success”. Joshua 1:8. “Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart” Job 22:22(KJV)
- Turn from their wicked ways. Total repentance from sin. “If thou return to the Almighty thou shall be built up , thou shall put away iniquity far from thy tabernacle”.
My dear reader this is the call of God for this hour. We must exercise those conditions for our prayers to be answered. The need for your salvation cannot be overemphasized. This is the right time to return to the LORD so you can enjoy the covenant of Exemption packaged in redemption. BE BLESSED!
