Bible Reading: Psalm 13, 2 Peter 2: 15-22
“But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me” Psalm 13:5-6(KJV)
I have always had to reflect on my life, what it would have been if not for God. I have been in battle from the day my mother gave birth to me. It has been consistent battle both spiritual and physical. The forces of darkness have consistently battled my life that if not for God I would have been long forgotten. God had continuously rescued and protected me from their wicked arrows. On the 22nd of June 2014 I had a ghastly motor accident. I was knocked down by a very fast moving Hilux van. The driver never stopped as he had assumed me dead. I was told in one of the best hospitals in Lagos by an orthopedic expert that I may never walk again. I was billed to be operated in another popular hospital due to late discovery of a rupture in my lumbar joint that resulted in an internal bleeding which was undetected for ten days after the accident. Doctors in the two notable hospitals in their professional expertise expressed fears of my ability to walk again. I had already bought and was using crutches. In all these I was never operated and I walk and run perfectly, healed miraculously by God Almighty. I can then say like the Psalmist, “But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me”. I am a living testimony of divine love. He delivers me on a daily basis from the wicked plans and purposes of the enemy. My trust have always been on the mercies of God that endures forever.
It is this God who delivers me daily that I am introducing to you. He has the power to protect you and put your enemies to shame. The LORD told me from the scriptures in Isaiah 41:10-11: “Fear thou not; I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthened thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
God’s promises abound forever. You can put your whole trust in Him and He will never fail. It is only God you can trust and have assurance and peace in your life. The Psalmist exhibited this confidence in God when he proclaimed in Psalm 4:8(KJV): “I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.” This was a statement of trust from the psalmist who had experienced divine deliverances severally. God himself gives us concrete assurance in Isaiah 32:1(KJV): “And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwelling, and in quiet resting place.”. This is the portion of them who love God, obey His instructions and put their trust in Him. I IMPLORE YOU TO JOIN THE PEOPLE OF THE KINGDOM WHO IN THE TIME OF FAMINE ENJOY PLENTY, WHOSE GOD IS THEIR PROTECTOR.
Prayer: Father, thank you for finding me and protecting me from the darts of the enemy.
