Bible Reading: Psalm 46, Revelation: 5:1-14
“Saying with a loud voice, worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.” – Revelation 5:12(KJV)
How glorious is our God and His ways past finding out. God, through his mystery, sent His Son who through complete submission through death, destroyed the one who had the power of death. He became obedient even to the humiliation of the cross, a place of shame and insult. Jesus was treated with so much disdain by man whom He created so that he (man) can receive the seven pillars of eternal Excellency. “………..I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generation”- Isaiah 60:15. We are born into the family of God with Jesus Christ as our eldest brother, and as children of God we are automatic beneficiaries of his wealth. Jesus, the one that was slain for our sin, through his death received power, riches, wisdom, strength, honour, glory and blessing. We are heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ Jesus which gives us access and right to be recipient of our inheritance in Christ… “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint –heirs with Christ;..” Romans 8:17(KJV). Colossians 1:12(KJV) further states, “Giving thanks unto the father who hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.” The Almighty God is our inheritance and the inheritance we have in God is a goodly heritage. By the death and resurrection of Christ we have access to whatever he has received from the father. We shall be looking at the series of these seven pillars of inheritance that we have been entrusted with:-
POWER
God is the omnipotence. All power belong to our God. This power is what our eldest brother came to win for us from God. He paid the price necessary to secure for us as recipients of power. The bible says we sit together with Christ in the heavenly places at the right hand of the throne of God (See Ephesians 1:20-21, 2:6.). God’s right hand is the place of his power, “Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy” – Exodus 15:6(kjv). This is so because power belong to God – Psalm 62:11(KJV).Being therefore heirs of God, we have access to the unlimited power of our God to live in absolute dominion. My dear reader we are positioned appropriately at the point of power by the redemption Christ wrought for us.
RICHES
We are ordained eternal riches that Christ Jesus offers us by redemption. 2 Corinthians 8: 9(KJV) says that “Ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, though he was rich, yet for our sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.” Riches and prosperity is what God has promised the righteous. God himself endowed us with righteousness by Christ Jesus which automatically makes us beneficiaries of the riches and prosperity of the righteous. “Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD that delighteth greatly in his commandment. Wealth and riches shall be in his house and his righteous endureth for ever.” God has also promised grace for abundance available to us, “And God is able to make all grace abound towards you; that ye, always having all sufficiency insall things, may abound to every good work” 2 Corinthians 9:8(KJV). God’s plan for us is that of prosperity and good health.
These seven pillars of our inheritance is only for those who are members of God’s family via redemption. So it is pertinent that you give your life right now to Jesus Christ and make him your Lord and Saviour. Invite him to come and take over your life.
Prayer: Father thank you for this great privilege to be a heir of God in Christ Jesus.
