Bible Reading: Psalm 48, Revelation: 6:9-17
“For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even unto death” – Psalm 48:14(KJV)
This is absolute and total. There is no second thought about it; that this God is my God for ever and ever. He has the capacity to guide and protect me even unto death. I am a living proof of his power. I am a living testimony of his ability to save. Once I was unclean and terribly polluted, not fit to live. I was a societal deviant, that had wandered into the woods of life, being pursued by a terrible unseen ravenous beast seeking me to devour. It was then My God found me through his shepherd Son whom he sent to look for me. I was in the jaw of the wicked beast to be devoured, but by his shepherd rod and enormous power he rested me from the mouth of the lion. “Blessed be the LORD, who have not given us as a prey to their teeth. Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken and we are escaped” – Psalms 124:7(KJV). My soul speak out loud like the Psalmist in appreciating the wondrous work of Calvary that set me free from satanic entanglement.
If it had not been the LORD who was on my side, when men rose against me I would have been since forgotten in the land of the living. I have witnessed his loving kindness when I consider the extent to which he went to set me free from sin and satanic harassment. Where would I have been if not for Christ Jesus. I thank the Almighty God who delivered me from death.
When I recollect that I was also involved then in the act of sexual promiscuity that men got involved in and died of HIV infection, I remain grateful to God. For this I can say boldly: THIS GOD IS MY GOD FOR EVER AND EVER.
Talking about being our guide, the bible says: “They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth forever” – Psalm 125:1(KJV).
My dear reader it is absolutely very profitable for you to live trusting this great God whose name is a strong tower where we run to and find safety.
Prayer: Father, my whole trust is on you. You are my reason for living. Thank you for your mighty protection over my life.
