Bible Reading: Psalm 52, Revelation: 9:1-10
“And the shapes of the locusts were like horses prepared unto battle; and on their head
were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men” – Revelation 9: 7(KJV).
The above description is that of the army of locusts that shall torment the world in the last days. It is a frightening description. Power was given to them to torment humanity – those that had not the seal on their forehead. The bible says they were commanded not to hurt the grasses and any green plant. A further description says they have hairs like women, their teeth were as the teeth of lions, they had breastplates of iron, they had tails like unto scorpions and there were stings in their tails. Reading through this description is quite frightening and chilling. These locusts will be released to torment humanity for five months and their torment is like that of a scorpion. Glory be to God because those of us that have been redeemed by the atoning death of Christ will not suffer this agonizing torment. These events will take place when we the redeemed have been raptured to be with our Lord and Saviour in the eternal celebration in heaven.
Apostle Paul writing in Hebrews 2:3(KJV) asked: “How can we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him?” Considering the dreadfulness of these army of locusts and the severity of their sting and torment, Paul’s question is very timely and pertinent. How can we really escape if we are caught unprepared at the appearing of Christ to take us home to forever be with him? My dear reader make haste and run into the Ark of the last day – Jesus Christ the Son of God.
I pray that God’s loving arm reach out today to save whoever is reading this. May you embrace the compassionate Saviour and find succour for your life.
Prayer: Father, grant me your grace to run the race of life successfully, ending it the feet of Christ Jesus.
