Bible Reading: Psalm 70: 1-5
“Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified” – Psalm 70:4(KJV)
Waiting period is not an easy experience. However, it is one of the means by which God makes vessels of honour out of His children. Waiting period is not a wasted time. It is a time we learn to exercise our patience based on the promises of God. “For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise” – Hebrew 10:36(KJV). The Psalmist prescribed the required attitude in your period of waiting. As you wait for the LORD’s intervention, the Psalmist says you need to rejoice and be glad in Him as you seek Him. Philippians 4:4(KJV) says: “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.”
No matter the situation that confronts you, you must be joyful at all times and refuse to allow the enemy to steal your joy, for the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). As you seek Him, do it with expectation and confidence in His power to save and deliver you in your situation and in it all, learn to magnify the Lord.
Prayer: Father I put my whole trust in your power to save and deliver me no matter the situation I find myself.
