…Spreading the gospel of Christ

WORD MEDITATION: 28/03/2017

Bible Reading: Psalm 96:1 –13

“Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all the people” – Psalm 96:3(KJV)

The call to worship is not only limited to the midst of God’s children alone but even in the midst of the heathen. While we are never called to display arrogance as God’s children among the people who are still struggling to come to term with the finished work of God through Christ, we still should not keep our mouth shut to the numerous things He alone has done by His power. Chief among what we are to display among all the people of the earth is the salvation that He has extended to us through Jesus Christ and this must be a day-to-day affair no matter how busy our schedule may appear – verses 1-3.

As we agree to make the entire universe His worship domain, there are things we must never overlook which are traceable only to Him. They are honor, majesty, glory, strength (verses 6-7). At the same time also, we must never forget coming into His court as this is also requested from us (v.8). The Psalmist explains to us the state of his heart when he was asked to come to the house of the Lord! “I was glad when they said to me, let us go to the house of the Lord! – Psalm 122:1. Whenever invitation is extended to you to come along with other children of God, how do you react? You must never forget that though the entire universe is His place of worship, ‘strength and beauty are in His sanctuary…come into his courts’( v 6, 8).

Beloved, as you step out today, make it a duty to bring God the glory through worship. Hear the Law of liberty “say among the nations that the Lord reigns;…Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all the things which fill it; Let the field be exultant and all that is in it!” – vv. 10-12. (Amplified). This is important because this same God shall come to judge the whole world with equity. Never starve the Lord the needed worship any time, any day and anywhere.

Prayer: Eternal Father, give me the heart of constant worship in Jesus name.
