Bible Reading: Psalm 110:1- 7
“The LORD said unto my Lord, sit thou at my right hand, until I make thy enemies thy footstool” – Psalm 110:7(KJV).
This Psalm is the prophecy concerning Jesus which is most quoted in the different epistles of Apostle Paul. King David who also operated as a prophet saw beyond his time. This prophecy was given confirmation in Ephesians 1:20(KJV): “Which he wrought in Christ when he raised him from the dead and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places.” The scripture declares that Christ has been exalted to be the head of his body, the church. Christ being set at God’s right hand is exalted “far above all principality, and power and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all” Ephesians 1:21-23(KJV). The good news is that we are raised together with Christ as Christians (the redeemed of the Lord) and have been made to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 2:6). What that means is that we have authority by our placement and position over principality, power, might and dominion. He that is from above is above all (John 3:31).
Developing the mentality of our superiority over the forces of evil is what guaranties our victory over them. It is on these premises that John the Apostle declared in 1 John 5:4(KJV) “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is our victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” As children of God we should be confident of our position in Christ. Our faith must not waver, it must be fixed. This is the era of divine visitation and empowerment of his children, to take over authority by being the solution mankind has been longing for. “Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power…” Psalm 110: 3a. (KJV).
The enemies of the gospel shall be defeated and humiliated. Christ is coming for the triumphant church. “….until I make thy enemies thy footstool.”
My friend, make haste to declare for the victorious side in the great conflict of life. The victory of the saints has long been won by Christ at the cross of Calvary: “And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.” – Colossians 2:15(KJV). You still have a place in Christ. Hurry to occupy your rightful place in Christ. We are in the victorious camp and that is your rightful place. Don’t be among the children of disobedience. God bless you.
Prayer: Father thank you for the victory you have given to me in Christ Jesus.
