…Spreading the gospel of Christ

Word Meditation: 26/09/2015

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself , and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God  also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name. – Philippians 2:8-9

Obedience will always precede exaltation. Obedience is better than sacrifice(1Samuel 15:22). Saul lost the throne because of disobedient.  We should stop bothering how the Word of God will come to pass  in our life(Eccl. 11:5), we should just obey His Word.( John 2:7). Our concern should be our obedience to His instruction.  Full scale obedience will always result in a change of story. Jesus Christ was highly exalted because He was obedient un to death, this connotes total obedience. In our daily reading passage today Isaac was instructed and he obeyed fully and there was a change of story in his life. He obeyed divine instruction that was at variance with the reality on ground in Genesis 26:1-2 and in verse 12&13 the bible says  ” Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received a hundred fold: and the LORD blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great”

Brethren it is time we stopped bothering about how prophecies will come to pass but concentrate our mind in obeying God’s instruction. It pays to be total in our obedience to God and His Word.

Prayer: Oh God, my father grant me the grace to be absolute in my obedience to you and to your Word. In Jesus Name.
