Bible Reading: Psalm 119:97 – 120
“I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation” – Psalm 119:99(KJV).
The word of God agrees across the books, chapters and verses. The bible is the book of life, with its content having no contradiction and with the potency of an unequal magnitude. The extent of the operations of the content of the word in transforming a man is humanly unimaginable. When we study by the word and store it in our heart through meditation it revolutionizes our thinking and intelligence. The entrance of God’s word alters our approach to life and turns us into a marvel to our world. A deep and sincere search of the word produces unimaginable results. Due to its unrivalled authenticity, the bible has existed throughout the ages and will still remain so because like Jesus said in Mark 13: 31(KJV), “Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my word shall not pass away.” The word of God is eternal. It is no wonder therefore that its contents carry great potency.
The statement of the Psalmist in our scriptural verse of today agrees with what the word said in Acts 20:32(KJV), “And now brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.” It is further confirmed in Joshua 1:8(Amp): “This book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.”
The word of God contains wondrous things which require our search to find. “Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.” –Psalm 119:18(KJV). God speaks audibly to his children from the word. The revelation of his word releases wisdom and understanding to those who seek his ways diligently from the word. “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” –Romans 10:17(KJV). The first hearing is the surface understanding gained by study. While the second hearing is the revelation or light that breaks forth via meditation. That is what proverbs 4:21(KJV) when it says, “Let them not depart from thine eyes (study); keep them in the midst of thine heart (insight gained through meditation). Through the Word we gain deep insight to the ways of God and it is in the ways of God that we will operate extraordinarily. The wisdom that transforms a man to a wonder is in locating the ways of God. We have great examples of men who located the ways of God and operated supernaturally on earth. The bible says in Psalm 103:7(KJV), “He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.” It is in God’s ways you will find his acts. His acts are products of his ways, so seek his ways and begin to manifest his acts. The Psalmist came in contact with his ways through meditation and became of more understanding than his teachers. When Daniel and his three Hebrew brothers contacted God’s wisdom through his word they became ten times wiser than the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers etc. etc. The King’s mother described Daniel in this manner: “There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, were found in him…Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding , interpreting of dreams and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel…” – Daniel 5:11-12. If Daniel, Joseph, Moses and David contacted this great wisdom under the former dispensation, we in this dispensation should be custodian of this wisdom and understanding in a higher dimension. This manifestation of the wisdom of God is what the bible was referring to when it said that the earnest expectation of the creatures are waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God(Romans 8:19) . In Ephesians 3:10-11(KJV) this was captured vividly: “To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God. According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Dear friend, this is the right time for you to be reconciled unto God so you can be grouped among the children of God for this last day exhibition of divine wisdom that translates a man into a wonder among men. It is the era of the glorious outing of the body of Christ before he comes to take us home.
Prayer: Father thank you for bringing me into this glorious family of overcomers.
