Bible Reading: Proverbs 2:1- 22
“For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion” – Romans 9:15 (KJV)
You must have shown mercy to someone before either at home or outside your home. Mercy is usually shown by someone in higher authority to another in a lower authority. Whenever you show mercy, you are saying, the current circumstance does not dictate your behaviour. That’s why the bible says in Romans 9:15-16 (KJV): “For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.”
You do not ask for mercy as of right because you do not work for it. Rather it is shown by the other party as part of the features we took from God. Luke 6:36(KJV): “Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.”
Looking at the mercy of God, we see his compassion has no limit. His Mercy does a lot of things for us. Some of them are:
1. You are saved from sin.
2. You are saved from your enemies. (Psalm 107:2).
3. The hungry are fed. (Psalm 107:9),
4. The sick and diseased are healed (Psalm 107:20).
5. Your work is prospered (Psalm 107:37).
Looking at sicknesses and diseases, many have taken several medicine and done several surgical operations and were not healed, but then God steps in by his mercy and the individuals were made whole.
The woman with the issue of blood who had spent all her resources looking for healing without result was made whole by the mercy of Jesus. Similarly, a number of people that have diseases that have been termed incurable by the medical field such as Cancer and HIV AIDS have been made whole by the mercy of God.
It does not matter what your sickness or disease is, just call on God for his Mercy in faith and you will be made whole in Jesus name.
Prayer: Father, have mercy on me oh Lord and make me whole in Jesus name.
