Bible Reading: Proverbs 10: 1-32
“He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known” Proverbs – 10:9(KJV)
Caution has been thrown to the wind in our world today. A lot of revelations that we are receiving via social media, daily newspapers, etc.. are clear pointers to the fact that the perpetrators did not give it a thought that a day shall come when all the evil they have done while in office shall be unravelled. The evil of corruption and mindless walk is global.
The older generation who are meant to be the vanguard of this truth are relishing themselves in the loot meant for the populace. This model has become the pattern which the younger generation is following. However, that the older generation decides to jettison the admonition of God is never an excuse for any of us to follow suit. The word of God is eternal and whoever governs his/her life by its standard shall surely have unlimited and undeniable joy with him (Prov. 10:19).
The quest for riches has made many people to abandon the prescribed way of the LORD. They employ all means available to be among who is who in the society. They forget quickly the bible says in Proverbs 10:22(KJV), “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”
Can God be proud of you due to your upright walk in all aspects of life? If the answer is doubtful, you can have a change of heart and heed the counsel of Isaiah, “O house of Jacob, come ye and let us walk in the light of the LORD” – Isaiah 2:5(KJV). Failure to do this attracts divine judgment. Desist from sin as you shall be found out if you persist in it. Jesus says “….Walk while ye have light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth” – John 12:35(KJV).
Prayer: Dear father, give me grace to walk according to the dictates of your word in Jesus name.
