Bible Reading: Proverbs 21: 1-31
“Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts” -Proverbs 21:2(KJV)
All men on the surface of the earth have many things occupying their minds; so many plans to be met and goals to meet, etc. But on many occasions, the conceived plans, when sieved with the divine eyes, might not be in line with the divine mandate either for that time or for the person that conceived it altogether. In whatever situation we find ourselves, we should steadfastly seek divine direction from God in order not to enter into a ditch. The Scripture says: “All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the spirits (the thoughts and intents of the heart) – Proverbs 16:2(Amp).
Many live the way they do based on their perspective of life. However, the Creator, from the beginning, has already made available to us His word as perfect guide to living. Jeremiah 10:23(KJV) says: “it is not in man that walketh to direct his step.”
Those who are given to their personal ways should know take note of Proverbs 16:25(KJV), “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” whatever we do in life we should not lean on our own understanding, but rather, acknowledge God in all our ways (Proverbs 3:5-6). Do you still want to continue in your way or you want to turn a new leaf by following God’s Way? Then, you should heed the counsel of the Prophet of old, “Thus says the Lord: Stand by the roads and look; and ask for the eternal paths, where the good, old way is; then walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls…” Jeremiah 6:16 (Amp).
Prayer: Almighty God, release upon me the grace to walk on your path all the days of my life in Jesus name.
