Bible Reading: Ecclesiastes 8:1-17
“Two are better than one; because they have good reward for their labour” – Ecclesiastes 4:9 (KJV).
God desires that we find reward for our labour on earth. It is not his will that we toil fruitlessly. He desires that we make profit and progress in life. God has no pleasure in human suffering. It is satan that afflicts people. Satan delights in human suffering and frustration. As his mission is, he comes to kill, steal and destroy (John 10:10). Jesus came that we may have life in abundance. God rewards us in this life with victory, success, prosperity, health, joy, peace and all the essential things of life, physical, material, and spiritual. The reward continues in eternity with eternal life.
In the above text, we see the power of partnership and unity. In the context of marriage, a couple in love with each other and in agreement find their strength and result multiplied. This is the power of Godly partnership in marriage. The same applies to networking. The synergy is amazing since one can leverage on the strength and virtue of the partner. This is more assured in a godly setting. The Christian virtues and the fruits of the spirit enable a strong union that will result in multiplication of capacity and resulting reward for their labour.
There is the God-factor in life. All our human efforts and strivings without God have no guarantee of reward. But with God on our side, and with intimate father-son relationship in place, reward is assured. God promised hundred fold reward in this life and in the life to come, eternal life. Have you been toiling without commensurate reward? Let Jesus take his rightful place in your life and everything will fall in place. Understand that the race is not to the swift nor battle to the strong. Every good and perfect gift come from above, from the father of light with whom is no variables neither shadow of turning.
PRAYER: Lord, help me to find good reward for my labour
