Bible Reading: Isaiah 11:1-16
“They shall not lust nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea” Isaiah 11:9 (KJV).
The love of God can transform any life, melting the hardened and softening the hearts of the wicked. It is amazing how the wicked and the terrible turn to become meek and gentle all because of the transforming power of the gospel. Arch enemies can become Chief friends, wars cease and the arrogant become meek when they experience the love of God. You hardly hear of terrorism in the Christian nations except by external forces from other religions because the love of God melts the hearts and the gospel brings transformation.
The Christian message is a message of love, peace, forgiveness and mercy. When terrorists embrace Jesus, they drop the sword, when wicked souls embrace the gospel; they embrace love of God in their heart. The gospel never leaves a man where it met him, it brings positive change. The gospel of Christ circumcises the heart of man, removes the heart of stone and puts in the heart of flesh that has feeling for God and for man. “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shared abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us” – Romans 5:5 (KJV).
Unlike other religions, Christianity is not spread or extended through violence or war.
The gospel is convincing enough, it is good news, powerful by itself and life-transforming. The gospel of Jesus does not promote violence, it promotes peace. Jesus died for all, no other blood need to be shed to save man. His blood is powerful in itself to transform the worst of sinner.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank you for your love that transforms lives.
