Bible Reading: Isaiah 18:1-7
“Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward” – Hebrew 10:35(KJV)
Have you ever been insulted, embarrassed, disregarded and belittled? Did you ever think you deserve better than the treatment you were given? Have you felt like shouting at perpetrators of such treatment or felt like letting them know who you are? These are all part of human nature and you will even experience more of it after today’s meditation. Indeed, it comes with the package of salvation (Mark 10:29-30).
When a man trusts and depends on God, occasions like that will bring an understanding that an opportunity has come for growth. Adversity and opposition are key elements in developing godly character. Such opposition should bring to your remembrance that God is with you in it all, and He will have the glory at the end of it all. Hallelujah! See what the Master himself said about the man that was born blind in John 9:3, “Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him” (Also see Isaiah 18:7).
Prayer: Lord, I trust in your love and ever abiding presence. Strengthen me to deal with the challenges that come my way today and take all the glory. Amen.
