Bible Reading: Isaiah 21:1-17
“But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth”- Psalm 86:15(KJV)
God is longsuffering. Very true. He gives us a long rope, waiting patiently for us to turn back to Him whenever we stray off. Little wonder, we find it so easy to exclaim that “God will understand!” at a time we should repent and return to the narrow path.
But He is also the God of justice and judgment. We get this side of God not because He delights in punishing us. Rather, it is His love that makes Him, as a true Father, discipline us. When we however, resist correction, we are presenting ourselves as bastards (Hebrews 12:8).
Search your heart and keep the watch. Jesus will soon return and we must be ready.
Prayer: Father, I ask for the courage to do what pleases you, in Jesus name. Amen.
