Bible Reading: Isaiah 35:1-10
“And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.” -Isaiah 35:10 (KJV)
Have you experienced some trouble or discomfort in the night time that made the dark hours appear so long? This is a common feeling: you are not alone and God knows. That’s why the Bible assures us that no matter how long it takes, it has an expiry date and time. Psalm 30:5 says, “For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning”.
No matter the challenge we face, if our faith in the Lord remains intact, it’s all for a while. For some, a while could be instant deliverance like blind Bartimaeus (Mark 10:46, 52). For others, it might take some time or even require you to do something that the Lord instructs like he did to the man born blind: Go and wash in the pool of Siloam (John 9:6-7).
Whether immediately you call or later, be assured that God hears you and has approved the solution to your problem. From the scriptural verse of today it spells out the portion of the redeemed. They are the ransomed of the LORD and irrespective of the challenges shall return and appear before the LORD with songs of thanksgiving, having been delivered they will obtain joy and gladness while sorrow and sighing will cease to exist. You will rejoice. Amen.
Prayer: I claim the promise of the Lord’s intervention in my case today, in Jesus name. Amen.
