Bible Reading: Isaiah 43:1-28
“Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him” – Isaiah 43:7 (KJV)
Most of our prayers focus on asking for what we need and at times what is nice to have. We thus give more attention to the flesh, to what we see and to what will get us noticed. “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” (1 John 2:16 KJV).
Moses was very much aware of this — he gave attention to the ways of the Lord, at a time the children of Israel were preoccupied with His acts. (Psalm 103:7). Little wonder Moses asked in Exodus 33:18 that the Lord would show him His glory.
Our prayers can become more effective when we seek for His glory to be revealed in our lives. Not only will He grant our requests, His glory in us will attract men to His saving grace.
Prayer: Lord, I ask that your glory be revealed in my physical body today, bringing me healing and divine health in Jesus name. Amen.
