Bible Reading: 2 Chron. 6, Phil. 4:13-23
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” -Philippians 4:13 KJV
We are made in the image of God and our Lord Jesus told us in John 14:12 that all believers shall do all the works that he did and that greater works than these we shall do because he goes to God the father. To further buttress this, he stated in John 14:13 that whatsoever we ask in his name, he will do for us.
Since there is no limit to what we can ask the father, it means we can do all things by asking Jesus. Thus, the word of God says in Philippians 4:13 (KJV), “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
This means that whatever the circumstances, the challenge or the storm, you can overcome by calling upon Jesus. It also implies that whatever you choose to be in life, you can be if only you will ask Jesus Christ for strength.
Why then do we have so many persons being far from what they desire? First, because they do not ask God for direction. Secondly when they ask, they do not hear the answer to the direction of God. John 8:47 (KJV) says, “He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.” So you must be a true believer of God Almighty to be able to hear God when He speaks.
The first major step for anyone to achieve anything in life is to accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and fellowship with Him regularly in order to constantly exchange communication with him. As you exchange communication with Him, he will strengthen and enable you to achieve your desire. Hence he says, call on me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things that thou knowest not (Jer. 33:3).
So what is your challenge today? Please fellowship with him and receive direction to your problem. He is ready and willing to attend to you only if you are ready to obey Him.
Prayer: Father, please give me the grace to constantly fellowship with you so that I can receive strength from you to accomplish my goals.
