Bible Reading: Job 7; Heb. 9:8-14
“But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building.” -Hebrews 9: 11(KJV)
Blood is the symbol of life. No living man or animal can physically exist without blood. The blood of Jesus Christ stands for His life in the human body. So He needs to shed His blood as a sacrifice for the sin of man. For everything is purged by blood. The Scripture aptly says “…without shedding of blood is no remission” – Heb. 9:22(KJV). On account of the importance of the blood in the life of man, it is expedient for us to look at what the blood of Jesus Christ accomplished for humanity.
The Blood of Jesus Christ keeps us alive. Jesus shed His blood for our sins so that we would not have to experience spiritual death.
The Blood of Christ is the blood of the New Testament that He shed for our sins (Matt. 26:28). It is the price God paid to purchase (redeem) us back to Himself (Heb. 20:28).
We are justified by the Blood of Jesus by which we are also saved fromGod’s wrath (Romans 5:9).
The Blood of Christ cleanses us from all sins. (I John 1:7)
We are saved by the precious and spotless Blood of Jesus Christ.
Prayer Point: O Lord, help me to always appreciate and understand that the Blood of Christ was shed to save me from sin. And that I need no other sacrifice but to daily allow Jesus to control my life which He purchased with His Blood.
