Bible Reading: Job 15; Heb. 11:1-7
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” -Hebrews 11:1 (KJV).
What we see always has the capacity to control our lives. Are you constantly seeing faith or fear around you? No matter how big a mountain may appear when we keep our eyes on faith, it shall give way. Faith calls things that are not as though they were. The Scripture says, “…even God, who quickened the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were” – Romans.4:17b (KJV). The above is corroborated by the writer of Hebrews when he says “…so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear” – Hebrews 11:3b (KJV). This age has made faith played out very easily. You know that prior now we cannot fly until plane was discovered. What can we say about limitations that have been broken completely as a result of numerous discoveries in science? Communication has been made easier now. A lot of things could be achieved just at the snap of the finger due to scientific discoveries. Faith earned the elders a good report. What then are the things that faith did for the people of old? They are as follow:
The worlds were framed by the word of God. Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice. How are you offering your sacrifice today? Enoch was translated and he did not see death. Faith in God made him to please God and this resulted in his being taken away. When heaven gauges your walk what would it weigh? Noah was warned of the impending destruction and he heeded the warning. Since you have been receiving the warning from the Lord that the world shall come to an end, how have you been making efforts to get out of this soon to be folded up world?
As followers of Christ, we should know that without faith it is impossible to please God. You also need to know that God is not past. God always operates in the present and not in the past. “But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” – Hebrews 11:6(KJV)
.
What are those things you are looking up to God for? Call them out by faith NOW because God IS available to bring them to pass. See your car, house, prosperity, healing, new child/children, your husband, your wife, your admission, promotion etc.
