Bible Reading- Job 18; Heb.11:22-29

“By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible” – Heb. 11:27 (KJV)

There is a limit to which our natural eyes can see, hence the need for eyes of faith if we are to go far in our journey with God. The people of old left us unbeatable record in this regard and would love that we borrow a cue from them in order to address the terrible situations that may attempt to rear up their ugly head against us.

We know that the birth of Moses was supernatural in nature. He was nurtured by Pharaoh’s daughter, trained and prepared for future purpose. The parents of Moses, by faith, saw in him the future that is beyond explanation. Thus, they hid him. Hear what the Scripture says: “By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king’s commandment” – Heb. 11:23 (KJV). Even though Pharaoh’s daughter nurtured him, when he grew up, he refused to be addressed the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. Why all this? Because he was seeing beyond the immediate glittering of the palace which could hinder him from entering into the purpose of God for his life. What are you currently seeing about your child? Have you written him/her off? You cannot do that! Every child possesses the seed of greatness in him/her. See that deposit of God in your child now!

This understanding, therefore, made him to “choose rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season” – Heb. 11:25(KJV). Friends, when people around you don’t see what you are seeing, they may give in to all kinds of life. But a destiny carrier cannot afford to live a careless, carefree life, else such destiny be truncated. Moses chose to suffer affliction, what is your choice now? Are you revelling in sin or making a commitment to stand with Christ in this passing world?

Faith made him to forsake Egypt. Do you not think that you also have to forsake your Egypt and enter the road into the land of promise? What made that decision possible for Moses? He was seeing the invisible. Despite the treasures in Egypt, Moses was “esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of reward” – Hebrews 11:26 (KJV). The riches of Christ that was of greater value to him that made him develop boldness just as his parents against the wrath of the king.

What are you seeing currently-failure, sickness, disappointment, debt, depression, demonic oppression, conspiracy against you among your colleagues etc.? All these shall give way when you behold the invisible riches which God reserves for you waiting for the appropriate time of manifestation. Say yes to Jesus and do away with sin now. It shall manifest in Jesus name.

Prayer Point: Eternal Father, open my eyes of faith to see clearly those things You have reserved for me in Jesus name.
