“If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable” – Cor.15:19. Reason to fight, fast, take necessary risks, “spend and be spent”(2 Cor.12:15)”, is because there’s life after death. St. Paul’s impetus and motivation in Christian service was his knowledge of the certainty of resurrection and life beyond the grave. “If after the manner of men I have fought with Beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die”- 2Cor.15:32
Real life is yet to come. This present life is nothing to take risk for. If you do ,it is truly a risk.
How prepared are you for life after death?
Prayer: We have been deceived to believe that it’s what we consume here that we gain in the light of imminent death, open our eyes to see that it’s only what we give in kingdom service we’ll gain in eternity. In Jesus name.
