Bible Reading: Psalm 52; Revelation 9: 1-10
“And in those days shall men seek death, and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them” – Revelation 9:6 (KJV).
A period of pain and misery that men have not witnessed before is coming. These will be part of the end time, a period of the great tribulation and outpouring of the wrath of God. It is surprising how people live their lives with little or no consideration of the outcome or consequences of their choices, decisions and actions. God is a loving father but most times people forget that he is equally a consuming fire. A God that loves man so much that he gave his only begotten son to die for man can also show his wrath so much that people will seek for death and will desire to die to end the misery but death will be far from them, and this is just the beginning of sorrow and pain. The bible describes Jesus not only as lamb but also as lion.
If people continue to reject the love of God after God’s longsuffering and patience, God will have no option than to judge and punish them. A situation where people will be yearning for death but death will flee from them is a horrible situation.
The good news though is that you don’t have to expose yourself to such a horror since you can respond to God’s love and mercy today by accepting Jesus Christ as your lord and savior. If you can believe in your heart the Lord Jesus and confess with your mouth that God has raised him from the dead and commit to the gospel, you will be saved from the wrath to come. You don’t have to perish or face the wrath of God since God has provided an escape root in Jesus and his redemption.
Now is the best time, believe in the Lord Jesus and accept his love for you and you will be saved.
PRAYER: Father, thank you Jesus for the redemption you have provided for me.
