Bible Reading: Psalm 76
“But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions” – Obadiah 1:17(KJV)
Actually mount Zion is a place of deliverance. It is a place where the host is God and the attendant presence of His angels perform our deliverance from devil-induced sicknesses and afflictions. It is the mysterious gathering that guarantees our freedom from satanic chains and captivity.
To an innumerable company of angels
When God is present His angels, in their different ranking and functions, are always present. God moves with the train of His glory. “In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up and his train filled the temple” -Isaiah 6:1(KJV). The angels are God’s messengers entrusted to carry out divine assignments. “The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the LORD is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place”- Psalm 68: 17 (KJV). These great company of angels are resident in Zion and carry out different functions amongst which are ministering spirit to the heirs of salvation – the saints. “Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” – Hebrews 1:14(KJV). They also are responsible for sprinkling the saints with the blood of sprinkling.
Jesus Christ the mediator of the new covenant and the blood of sprinkling
Truly we come to mount Zion to be properly serviced for greater impact and productivity. At mount Zion is our Lord, Saviour and Redeemer who by His blood established the new covenant, washed us clean with his blood and endowed us with his righteousness (Hebrews 9:14, 2 Corinthians 5:21). The blood of sprinkling is the blood of Jesus Christ as our Passover. “Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us” – 1 Corinthians 5:7(KJV). When we gather in mount Zion the Blood of Sprinkling is sprinkled on believers hedging them from wicked arrows and that blood speaks healing, peace, protection and every good word. By the sprinkling of the Blood of sprinkling, every wickedness and arrows of the enemies are commanded to pass-over us. That same blood of sprinkling raises a voice that drowns all the voices of vengeance against us. That is why mount Zion also represents the city of refuge, where the saints run to and are safe. Mount Zion is our spiritual protective bunker from the evil attacks of the enemies. “For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock” – Psalm 27:5(KJV).
Mount Zion is actually God purchased habitation among men. A mysterious gathering put together by God, purchased by the blood of Jesus. Zion is instituted by God for our protection and a place of power and fortification. Whoever is reading this piece please know that you need to submit to the Lordship of Christ to enable you be a partaker of the great spiritual bunker and service centre for your daily renewal and strength.
Prayer: Father, help me to ever abide in Mount Zion the City of God and my place of refuge.
