Bible Reading: Psalm 96
“Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth” – Psalm 96: 12-13(KJV)
The judgment of God is just and true. Our God judges in righteousness with absolute knowledge that is incontestable. Unlike the judges of the world who can render their judgment based on presented facts but not necessarily the truth. There is no information concerning any case that is hidden from God. All things are made bare before him. Every evidence and action in all cases are very clear before God. On His judgment the bible has these to say, “And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ear: But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips will he slay the wicked” – Isaiah 11: 3-4(KJV). We have had instances of error in judgment due to the limitation of the worldly judge who relies on presented facts and evidences. Sometimes the evidences may be overwhelming but are not actually the true position. We have seen situations where the real culprit comes forward to confess in a case where someone has already been condemn to death, or in some instances, after the death of an innocent soul. Human judgment is susceptible to errors and misconceptions. The human mind is very complex and very deceitful, it takes only the Almighty God to see what is hidden in the heart of men. We have seen a lot of miscarried judgment among men. We have seen and witnessed miscarried judgment resulting from corruption of the human judges. These are not so with our God who does not judge after the sight of His eyes nor reprove after the hearing of His ear, but judges in righteousness based on His knowledge of the heart of man.
This great God is coming to judge the earth with righteousness and in truth. On that day all secrets shall be revealed as our All-knowing God seats in judgment. The question is: where will man hide? The bible says in Psal 139:11-12(KJV) “If I say, surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, darkness hiddeth not from thee; but the night shinneth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.” That day shall be very frightening as all deception shall be revealed and all truth shall be known. The secret of men shall be revealed and the heart of men shall be made bare. The true motives behind some of our action shall be exposed.
My dear friend reading this piece, you need to accept Christ into your life and allow the Holy Spirit lead your life in line with God’s word in order for you to escape this terrible day of the LORD.
Prayer: Father, I humble myself before you, give me the grace to run this race working out my salvation with the fear of the LORD.
