Bible Reading: Psalm 119: 121-152
“Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as thou usest to do unto those that love thy name.” – Psalm 119:132 (KJV)
“The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. At the mention of the name Jesus, every knee shall bow and every thong confess.” (Proverbs 18:10 KJV). The name Jesus open doors, heals the sick, sets the captive free and answer to all requests. Everyone having any challenge that calls on the name sincerely shall be set free. However when an unbeliever calls the name, it may not answer him as that caller will not have the authority to call the name. This is what happened to seven sons of Sceva in Acts 19:13-16 when they wanted to deliver a man possessed of evil spirits. The evil spirits answered them that it did not know them. So for the name to work for you, it must be associated with you.
On the other hand, Apostle Peter had no money when the beggar at the entrance of a church called Beautiful gate approached him for a gift. Instead he ran to the name of Jesus and by that name, the beggar was made whole. So whatever you cannot get solutions to, run to the name and you will get answers. Even Jesus Christ himself stated in John 16:23 (KJV): “And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.”
However, it is not everyone that can run to the name that gets mercy. The name is only available to those who love him and Jesus said in John 14:15 (KJV): “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
Those who study the word of God and obey them are those that love the Lord. These are those that can use the name of God to unlock solutions. But interestingly, God is ready to answer all those that seeks him sincerely. Whatever you are going through, the merciful God is ready to look on you and forgive you all your past misdeeds as long as you call on him sincerely and are ready to start a new life that forsakes those misdeeds so that you can be his friend.
To access his name therefore, sincerely repent of your sins, accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, study the word of God and obey the words going forward.
Prayer point: Father, by your mercy, help me to study your word and obey them from today in Jesus name.
