Bible reading: Proverbs 12
“He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding” – Proverbs 12:11 (KJV).
There was a farmer who loved to gossip and talk about other farmers in his village. A lot of the time, he would leave the work on his farm and visit his good friend, the baker. Both would spend hours talking about people in their locality. During harvest the farmer didn’t have much grain to harvest from his field. He always didn’t have enough for his family consumption or to sell at the market, but kept on blaming everyone else for his misfortune. Likewise, if we as christians don’t till our land, we will not be satisfied with bread. Your land could be your marriage, children, business. Career, ministry, etc. Be dedicated, investment requires time and resources to “till your land “and in due time you’ll be satisfied with bread.
