Bible Reading: Isaiah 35:1-end
“And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein” – Isaiah 35:8 (KJV).
Every journey or travel undertaken by man must be through a route which is the way to their destination. Before undertaking a journey, it is expected that one knows the way that will be taken to arrive at his destination. A man who starts a journey without knowledge of where he is going is a wanderer. Anywhere he gets to will look like his destination. The wayfaring are travelers mostly those that travel on foot. The bible says that “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” – Proverbs 14:12(KJV). The ways of man are not the ways of God. God expects us to walk in His ways which is the way of righteousness, because in that way even fools shall not err, the unclean (immoral, debased and transgressors) shall not pass through and Lions and ravenous beast ( in reference to murderers and greedy men) shall not be found therein, as it is the way for the redeemed of the LORD. God admonishes us in Jeremiah 6:16(KJV), “Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your soul…” It is this good way that prophet Isaiah referred to as ‘The way of holiness” is what our Saviour referred to when he declared in John 14:6(KJV), “…….I am the way, the truth, and the life:” This is the way of our God. It is the only route that leads to our God. It is a way for those in search of peaceful and holy living. It is the way to mount Zion that guarantee’s eternal peace and joy where no sorrow and depression can be found. “And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: and they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away” – Isaiah 35:10(KJV).
My dear reader, I invite you from the bottom of my heart to come to this pleasant, safe, peaceful and joyful way of righteousness and find real rest for your soul. Jesus Christ is this way and he guides us through this way with the assurance of safe arrival to our heavenly destination. Please note that the enemy has erroneously led a lot of people out of the righteous way into the wrong way through religion and church dogma which are not in consonance with scriptures. Search out the true way which is in Christ Jesus. The Psalmist said in Psalm 25:12(KJV), “What man is he that feareth the Lord? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.” To locate the true and good way we must eschew evil and have the fear of God. When you surrender your life to God through faith in Jesus Christ and receive the Spirit of God you have located the true way.
Prayer: Father let me remain on the way of righteousness in my Christian journey.
