Bible Reading: Isaiah 40:1-end
“The grass withereth, and the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand forever” – Isaiah 40:8 (KJV).
Man and all his addition to the earth will perish. The houses, mansions, the bridges, the stadia, the dams and every other thing created by man are perishable. Nothing that is associated with man is eternal; only the spirit of man will linger on. Man was created a spirit being clothed with the garment of the body. Matthew 24:35 (KJV) says, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.” The word of God is eternal and cannot be killed. The word of God endures forever. The grass and flower, as illustrated in this verse of scripture, represents the flesh and their goodliness. “The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flowers of the field. The grass withereth and the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass” – Isaiah 40:6-7 (KJV).
Due to the infallibility of the Word of God and its potency we can put our confidence on it. The whole beauty and human fanfare around us are bound to perish and fade but the potency of the word of God does not diminish and abides forever. What the word created can be changed or replaced, but the Word that creates remain the same forever and ever. By The Word all things were created, nothing was ever created without the Word. It is then understandable why the declaration of the word releases tremendous power which even Satan and his cohorts cannot stand. The eternity of the Word of God is the reason why it can be trusted and believed in. God’s word is true and carries creative powers. It is transformative and can change any situation to reflect God’s glory.
It is on this premise that I beckon to the reader of this piece to come under the coverage of the word of God. The entrance of God’s word gives light and gives understanding to the simple. The potency of the word of God can turn an imbecile to a sound and intelligent person. The infallibility of God’s word makes it dependable. Jesus Christ is the incarnate Word of God that can be depended on to bring about our victories in the battles of life. I besiege you, therefore, to seek him that has the ability to give a lift to your life and transform you from nothing to a wonder to your generation.
Prayer: Father, thank you for the eternity of the Word that also guarantee my eternal value in Christ Jesus.
