Bible Reading: Isaiah 43:1-end
“Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life” – Isaiah 43:4 (KJV)
When we consider God’s love for humanity it staggers the frail human mind which is unable to understand and to truly comprehend why such magnitude of love was extended to man. God’s love is beyond human knowledge and, therefore, cannot be exhaustively explained by the human mind. The depth of God’s love is unsearchable and unfathomable. “And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God” – Ephesians 3:19(KJV). The mystery of God’s love is beyond human intellectual grasp, hence, most times it is unimaginable and unbelievable. God’s love is true and compelling. When we embrace the love of God which is epitomized in Christ, we will begin to experience the overwhelming nature of His love. It flows through our heart like a blue stream with absolute tranquility. God’s love is soothing and refreshing. God’s love calms a distressed and a troubled soul. It is assuring, comforting and peaceful.
God is absolute in protecting those whose heart are stayed on him. “Thou wilt keep in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed stayed on thee: because he trusted in thee” – Isaiah 26:3(KJV). When we love God with our heart, God reciprocates with a magnitude of unconditional love that revolutionizes our entire being. God’s love for man operates on the platform of righteousness and obedience. When we are totally submissive to God and obey His instructions, we become recipients of His unconditional love and presence. It is then we begin to drink from the well of His presence. What makes us precious in His sight and honourable is our love for Him which is truly manifested in our obedience to His word and a righteous living. So our complete obedience to God and His instruction is the platform on which His love for us thrives. God’s hand of mercy is extended to us through His love for His creation. It is this overwhelming and sublime love that informed His leaving His rainbow throne of the majesty on High to condescend to take the form of a man in order to save us. What a great and unrivalled love. Love compelled Him to suffer terrible humiliation and shame of the cross in order to give a new life to man. “For both he that sanctifieth and they who are now sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee. … Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people” – Hebrews 2:11-12,17(KJV)
WHAT A GREAT AND UNFATHOMABLE LOVE!!! Don’t miss it.
Prayer: Father I thank you for making me a recipient of your great love.
